Baskets
Woven by Linda Gallardo:
After being introduced and mentored by my "Basketry Shifu" (as I
call her), Phyllis Scarbrough on the skills of basket
weaving, I began
filling my 'free time' crafting all sorts of practical baskets that
I needed on the farm. From laundry baskets to nut buckets, and egg
baskets to pack baskets. I have since crafted dozens of styles and
types with various different natural materials. After filling my
home (literally) with all sorts of baskets and making good use of
them throughout the farm, I realized that I better sell some of them
before I can't walk around my house.
All baskets sold here are handmade,
unique and made with natural materials.
Sizes are approximate, measurements are within the nearest 1/4" (inch).

Northwoods Pack Baskets
Pack/backback baskets are
continuously woven (for strength) with flat oval reed. My pack baskets
are woven in four common sizes, XSmall, Small, Medium, Large &
XLarge. A variety of different pack
straps (sold separately) can be ordered to finish your unique pack
basket.

Northwoods Fishing Creel Baskets
Fishing Creel baskets are woven with a 'closed
bottom' and attached lid. These baskets can be used for more than just fishing,
they also make great totes to shop or travel with. As with the pack
baskets, the straps are sold separately to allow you to create your own unique
look.

Rib Baskets
Rib baskets are woven with round reed as 'ribs' to weave through, creating this unique style of basket. Rib baskets are a tradition on most farms, finding the potato, egg, and melon baskets as the most common types.
No rib baskets currently in stock. Custom

Market 'style' BasketsMarket baskets
come in many shapes and sizes, but all typically are square or
rectangular based baskets.

Cathead 'style' Baskets
Cathead 'style' baskets are so known for their bowed bottom
shape, which when turned upside down, has a similar shape to a cat
head.
